RICK E. ROBINSON
As Chief Experience Officer (or CXO)at Sapient, Rick E. Robinson oversees the development of innovative research approaches for understanding human interaction with products, environments, communications, services and technologies. An interdisciplinary social scientist, Robinson received his Ph.D. from the Committee of Human Development at the University of Chicago. Before joining Sapient, he founded E-Lab, a user research laboratory. The author, with Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, of The Art of Seeing, he has written widely on research and design, and is a member of the editorial board of Design Issues, a member of the advisory boards of the Design Management Institute and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Founded in 1991, Sapient is a leading creator of new economy businesses, providing Internet strategy consulting, end-to-end solutions and launch support to Global 1000 and start-up companies. At Doors 6, he explored the intellectual tradition investigating that vital state of inspiration, or lightness, variously known as 'flow' or 'deep play' or 'evenly hovering attention' by the world's great thinkers.
