Fish Futures: Martí Guixé
Martí Guixé is the designer of the Flamp: a fluorescent lamp-shaped product which uses no electricity - after being exposed to light, it just glows in the dark for around 20 minutes, gradually becoming dimmer and dimmer. This book spins a whimsical story around the Flamp and certain other equally whimsical Guixé creations - Spamt (a healthy alternative 'fast food' product based on a traditional Catalan dish, consisting of tomatoes stuffed with bread, oil and salt), and Fish Futures, a range of products, such as tiny underwater mirrors and a glass, water-filled 'boat' designed to improve the quality of life for pet fish.
